Slim Chickens, one of the frontrunners in the “better chicken” market, has plans to open over 30 new restaurants throughout 2020.
The brand, which currently operates 100 restaurants and has more than 350 in the development pipeline, will celebrate new openings in both the U.S and the U.K. as part of continued growth.
In the States, franchise locations are planned to open in new markets, including Maryland, New Jersey, Florida, and Washington. Across the pond in the U.K., new openings will take place in markets like Reading, Southampton, and Kent.
“This year is going to be a landmark year for Slim Chickens,” said executive director of franchise development, Jackie Lobdell. “Franchisees are opening restaurants at a breathtaking pace as they grow our brand in new markets and expand our footprint in regions where we are well-known, too.”
The Slim Chickens menu is broader than others within its category, offering chicken tenders, fresh salads, sandwiches, chicken and waffles, chicken wings, and unique sides. In terms of development, the brand has plans to reach 600 units within 10 years, and is targeting qualified and experienced multi-unit groups worldwide to reach this goal.
“In addition to the many openings this year,” said Lobdell, “we are continuing to sign multi-unit deals with some of the most experienced franchise groups in the industry – adding to our momentum.”
