Romeo’s Pizza has announced its upcoming expansion into the state of Colorado, following the signing of a multi-unit agreement with franchise veteran Dan O’Neil.
As part of the deal, O’Neil will open at least 20 locations throughout the state, with the first unit set tentatively for the Denver metro area. This domestic news comes off the back of Romeo’s Pizza’s adjacent commitment to its international presence, which the brand plans to expand to 250 locations by 2025.
“I don’t move forward with a company until I have a thorough understanding of and connection with what the brand stands for and how they operate,” said Dan O’Neil. “With Romeo’s Pizza, I understood from the get-go. Romeo’s Pizza operates with a franchisee-first focus and a driving purpose to give back to its community, principles that the Romeo’s team made readily apparent throughout our discussions.”
O’Neil is currently an area developer for three other brands, and his goal is to increase that figure to at least seven brands across the American Southwest.
“Dan’s track record speaks for itself,” said Romeo’s Pizza CEO, Ryan Rose. “Not only is he an experienced franchise owner, but he has led the successful regional development of numerous brands in competitive markets for years. We’re confident that he is going to take the collaborative, purpose-driven principles we are founded on to new heights in Colorado.”
Founded in 2001, Romeo’s Pizza currently operates 44 locations throughout the U.S., with plans to reach 250 total sites within the next five years.
