The vegan burger concept is expanding westward into Canada with a new location in Calgary.
One of the pioneer vegan burger concepts, Odd Burger has announced the signing of a franchisee agreement for a new location in Calgary with a view to establish the chain throughout Canada.
Franchisees Joanna and Jay Gandhi will look for the appropriate site to set up their new Odd Burger restaurant.
“Our first West Coast location is a major milestone toward positioning Odd Burger as a global brand,” said James McInnes, Odd Burger co-founder and CEO.
“Strategic franchises are a big part of our growth strategy of expanding throughout North America.”
The new location will open three months after the site has been selected and permits have been approved. Odd Burger follows a footprint that allows for the quick construction of a new location with its focus on compact footprints and fast service.
Odd Burger locations are replete with modern technological solutions, including on-demand cooking technology, online ordering, self-checkout kiosks and cashless transactions.
Odd Burger currently operates locations in London, Toronto, Windsor and Vaughan with two new locations planned to open in Hamilton and Waterloo within a month. The brand also operates its own manufacturing facility in London, Ontario where it produces many of its vegan, meat-substitute products.
