The fitness franchise industry is brimming with innovative concepts, boutique offerings, and exciting developments that consistently drive the sector forward. To truly succeed, you need to introduce something that gym-goers haven’t seen before; something revolutionary, exciting, and convenient. Enter, MyFit18.
MyFit18 is carving a space in the fitness world with its unique business model and appealing, low-cost build-out. Backed by innovative technology and more than 60 years of combined executive experience, the brand recently announced the launch of its first-of-its-kind franchise opportunity that entrepreneurs can manage remotely.
“We created MyFit18 to provide a gym ownership opportunity to fitness professionals and entrepreneurs who want to make a positive impact on people’s lives, without the exorbitant cost and daunting operational workload,” said Marty Flanagan, vice president of MyFit18. “We’re going against the grain of a typical franchise opportunity and have given total freedom to our owners, allowing them to put a personalized touch on their business, and to run it from anywhere. We truly believe we have something unparalleled here.”
It works like this: clients use a proprietary app to schedule when they’ll be attending. This is also the software that franchisees use to operate and oversee their gym, and prevents overcrowding in the centers through timetabled sessions. The app is used as a bridge between owners and members, allowing members to get a free trial, enroll, gain 24/7 access, submit feedback, or stop membership with a few taps.
“Fitness centers cannot be replaced by automation; [they] can only be enhanced by it,” explained Flanagan. “With the MyFit18 app, we’re paving the way with automation-centric fitness while still offering consumers a more flexible fitness experience that they want and need.”
Through this tech integration, the brand eliminates the need for on-site staff. With its turnkey digital marketing, support, automation tools, and zero-staff model, MyFit18 appeals to newcomers to the industry who don’t want to break the bank to start their next project. In fact, the brand states that investors can “expect to spend as little as $50,000 to open your fitness center, including a modest $15,000 franchise fee.”
From a member’s perspective, the MyFit18’s business model also reflects its name, with membership fees starting at $18 per month, and 18 pieces of standardized equipment in each center.
MyFit18 is currently looking for single and multi-unit franchisees with a passion for fitness and entrepreneurship. The brand is backed by a support team of highly experienced franchise experts behind brands such as Code Ninjas, which now has more than 550 locations open and under development – despite only launching in 2016.
