Lindex has been providing consumers with high-quality, sustainable clothing and lingerie since it was founded in 1954. The iconic brand now employs around 5,000 people across its 480 stores; positioning it as one of Europe’s largest fashion chains.
Last week saw the brand open its second African store in the new Azur City mall, with a ceremony that attracted close to 36,000 visitors on the opening day. Over the course of the opening weekend, more than 105,000 visitors ventured to see what was on offer at the new mall, which allowed Lindex to break Tunisia’s previous sales record in an opening weekend.
“It has been incredibly educational to see and experience how Lindex works in Tunisia,” said Sarah Hallonkvist, VM for Lindex in Torslanda, Sweden. “Seeing the commitment of the staff and seeing the pride they feel is very inspiring.”
The new location is spread across 540 square meters, and is dedicated to fashion for women and children, as well as lingerie, which Lindex built its brand on in the early years of operation.
