The latter half of this year has seen brands from every industry adapt or entirely shift their offering to ensure continued revenue when traditional avenues are disrupted or entirely shut down.
Restaurant franchises that could no longer provide dine-in services, for example, doubled-down on their delivery prowess with countless app partnerships announced throughout the year.
Education and fitness franchises, meanwhile, offered a whole host of online, virtual sessions so that students and clients could continue to engage with a brand, even when brick-and-mortar facilities were made redundant due to lockdown mandates or rigid social distancing measures.
But what about the hospitality industry? With fewer people than ever travelling across the country, let alone internationally, hotels have seen a sharp decrease in demand throughout 2020.
Well Hyatt, the international hotel franchisor with a portfolio of more than 950 locations, is looking to revitalize the hotel industry with the introduction of its Office for a Day package.
Targeted at remote workers looking for a change of scenery, the Office for a Day offering will be available at more than 400 Hyatt hotels throughout the Americas, and is bookable through May 31, 2021.
For $65 per day, guests receive a private guestroom with office conveniences, paired with the amenities of a hotel experience.
“By continuously listening to our members and guests, we understand what’s most important to them; they are prioritizing wellbeing now more than ever and want more flexibility and creative new ways to avoid burnout,” said Asad Ahmed, SVP commercial services, Americas, Hyatt.
“Work from Hyatt: Office for the Day is perfect for guests who are looking for a convenient change of scenery with access to premium hotel amenities, more ways to experience wellbeing during the work day, and the opportunity to earn bonus World of Hyatt points and elite Tier-Qualifying Night credits.”
Office for a Day ensures hotel use from 7 am until 7pm, as well as a handful of benefits such as high-speed Wi-Fi access, a 50 per cent discount on self- or valet-parking, and access to hotel amenities such as gyms and pools.
