Stagecoach Performing Arts ends another year on a high as eight new franchisees complete their training and open offices from Scotland to Wales to Down Under. The new additions join as the arts franchise celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Alison Tasker has become the second franchisee in Australia. Daughter, Teddy, has a total of nine years’ experience with Stagecoach Performing Arts – spending the first three at Stagecoach Tonbridge, in the UK, before relocating to Australia and joining Stagecoach Perth Central.
“Even though I’m about to launch my own school in Como, Teddy will continue going to sessions with Serena in Perth Central – she’s made so many good friends there, she doesn’t want to leave them behind! That’s one of the incredible things about Stagecoach – the lifelong friendships it creates. With the success of Serena’s schools, an obvious demand in the southern suburbs and no-one offering Stagecoach’s unique blend of performing arts and life skills in that area, it seemed like the perfect place to expand. I’ve had plenty of interest from parents already and I’m really looking forward to starting our first term in February.”
Following initial training, franchisees receive ongoing training along with industry-leading support in marketing, customer service, IT and business development. This enables franchisees to play to their strengths and provides the best possible environment in which to succeed – something that Stagecoach Bromley franchisee, Lloyd Bagley, has taken full advantage of.
“I found training to be a wealth of information and the detail of the business model was what I expected. Every department knows exactly what they were talking about, along with the emotions and feelings we may face, so I was confident I was supported in every area of the business. I feel looked after in such a positive, forward-thinking way - every member of the head office support team and my fellow franchisees wants me to succeed.”
Sarah Kelly, CEO at Stagecoach, says, “Many of our new franchisees have either worked in performing arts or have been performers themselves but experience in the performance sector isn’t crucial for our franchisees. Provided you are passionate about improving the lives of children and have the desire to develop a successful business of your own, you’ll enjoy the work and rewards of being a Stagecoach principal.”
