GYMGUYZ specialized in in-home personal training, bringing the convenience of a gym to a client’s home. This convenience and commitment to the safety and physical wellbeing of its customers has allowed the brand to not only maintain throughout the height of COVID-19 but thrive, as it signed up 17 new deals since the start of the year, and opened five new locations.
These new locations saw the brand enter six untapped markets, including Greensboro, North Carolina; Charlotte, North Carolina; San Antonio, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; Dallas, Texas; and Naples, Florida.
To date, GYMGUYZ runs over 250 locations globally in the U.S., U.K., and Canada, and has plans to open a further 100 locations across the coming year.
“GYMGUYZ was founded at the height of the 2008 economic crisis with a goal to create the fitness industry’s solution for an ‘Amazon-style’ concept centered around convenience by bringing the gym to the consumer,” said GYMGUYZ CEO and founder, Josh York. “Now, amid this pandemic, the brand has once again seen amazing growth despite facing the challenges of an unstable economy.”
As well as expanding, GYMGUYZ has doubled-down on navigating the challenges presented by a global health pandemic by offering services such as remote personal training, virtual fitness classes, and loaner equipment options. The brand is also offering a workout migration program for new clients who are currently unable to go to their former gyms.
