Goldstein Legal has been acquired by new model law firm, nexa law, for an undisclosed amount. This deal marks nexa law’s second acquisition, following the purchase of London-based Peregrine Law in 2020.
Goldstein Legal founder Roz Goldstein will continue to operate under the Goldstein name, alongside her colleagues Catrina Newman, Alette Anderson and Belle Ghaleb. They will also remain an affiliate member of the British Franchise Association (bfa).
“I am delighted to see the strengthening of the franchise team at Goldstein Legal and look forward to their continuing contribution to the aims of the bfa and its members,” said Pip Wilkins, CEO of the bfa.
The Goldstein team will join forces with Amy Leite, an experienced franchise solicitor at nexa law, alongside other members of the nexa team. nexa law is home to over 100 lawyers and eschews the traditional law firm model by engaging legal consultants with a focus on client value and service.
“This is very much business as usual for all our clients, but with enhanced resources to complement and develop our franchising team,” said Roz Goldstein. “I’m thrilled to be working with Amy, an exceptional and experienced lawyer who will help underpin Goldstein Legal’s reputation as one of the leading franchise law firms in the country”.
“It has been a massively exciting year for nexa as we push hard to become the challenger brand of choice for ambitious consultant and freelance lawyers,” said Eliot Hibbert, founder and co-CEO of nexa. “Goldstein Legal adds real depth and strength for us in a really important business sector.”
