Boston’s Pizza begins phased reopenings in select markets

Boston’s Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar (Boston’s) locations in North Dakota, Montana and Texas will soon begin offering in-restaurant dining under strict health and safety guidelines, as part of a phased reopening approach.

The locally owned and operated Boston’s franchises in Great Falls, MT, West Fargo, ND, and Irving, TX will be implementing additional measures beyond their standard health and safety procedures, including:

  • Screening employees for signs of illness prior to starting their shift
  • Requiring masks be worn by the appropriate guest-facing employees
  • Limiting capacity to 50 per cent and distancing tables and waiting areas
  • Disinfecting all surfaces after each use, as well as high-touch surfaces at a minimum for four times per day
  • Installing hand sanitizing stations for guest use
  • Removing all table condiments
  • Providing fresh glassware for refills

Jeff Melnick, president for Boston’s, said; “This has been an incredibly difficult time, but as our restaurants begin to reopen in communities across the country, we will continue to focus on what we can control - providing employees and guests peace of mind that we are going above and beyond to make sure their health and safety are at the forefront of everything we do.

“While our restaurants have developed a community reputation based on food quality, service and atmosphere; going forward the most important reputation currency will be trust. This trust will be earned through safeguards that are seen and felt by employees and guests alike.”

Keyrenter Property Management opens New England location

U.S.-based residential property management franchise, Keyrenter Property Management, is continuing to grow its presence in the northeast, opening a new franchise location in New England.

Business entrepreneurs Megan O’Leary and Chapin Hemphill are the partners in Keyrenter New England, with the office located outside of Manchester, New Hampshire. The partners are capitalizing on the skill set they developed while building the brand’s first California location, Keyrenter Silicon Valley.

Hemphill said: “Keyrenter’s innovative business model allows us to do almost everything online, even when we’re on opposite coasts.

O’Leary said: “The professional processes we’ve developed combines our previous property management experience with a strong franchisor like Keyrenter. That allows us to give property owners and tenants the highest level of service and support.”

The new Keyrenter franchise is part of an aggressive three-year national franchise growth plan. The franchisor anticipates growing to 130 franchise partners through 2022, representing more than a 200 per cent increase in franchise partners over the next three years. Keyrenter expects to achieve $50 million in systemwide revenue by 2022.
