A British nursery school based near Carlisle is start its international expansion with a franchised outlet in China. The new school will operate in Guangzhou, the port city north-west of Hong Kong.
David and Jenn Farrell opened the Stone Eden Nursery School in 2005 with 36 children and have since grown the school to 350. Franchise director Hannah Farrell said, “We have been advertising for about a year now and we’ve had about 200 enquiries. Ironically our first one is an international franchise which is very exciting. There is real demand for British early years education and curriculum in China. We’ve also had enquiries from Bangladesh and Dubai”
