Florida-based Sloan’s Ice Cream, known for its innovative flavors and vivid décor, has announced a multi-unit franchise development deal which will see the chain expanding its holdings into Saudi Arabia. The deal is with the Jeddah-based Alesayi Retail Company and stipulates the establishing of eleven locations in Saudi Arabia over the next seven years. Sloan’s Ice Cream already has outlets in UAE and Kuwait. Ramzi Daklouche, Alesayi Retail Company’s Executive Managing Director, said “When we stepped into Sloan’s we knew that we wanted to bring this concept to Saudia Arabia. The over-the-top atmosphere will appeal to the residents in Saudi Arabia and we’re excited to expand the footprint in the Middle East.” Sloan’s launched its first location in Florida’s West Palm Beach in 1999 and since then has opened six further outlets in Florida and three in California.
