How does the BrightStar Care franchise model work?

BrightStar Care offers both medical and non-medical private duty home health care services, as well as medical staffing. Each BrightStar Care location employs a registered nurse director of nursing who tailors unique, personalized plans of care for each client and oversees a professional care team of well-qualified, experienced caregivers.

Other home care franchises that offer only personal and companion care must turn their patients over to another provider once skilled care is needed. By providing skilled care, BrightStar Care franchisees are able to keep clients for a longer period of time, maximizing revenue potential.

The ability to care for patients over a longer period of time also helps us attract more patients who may currently have less complex needs. When individuals are trying to find caregivers for their parents, they enjoy the peace of mind of knowing they won’t be forced to transition their loved ones to a new provider as needs change.

In addition to providing a full continuum of award winning skilled and non-skilled in-home health care we’ve also developed national account relationships to drive referrals to your business in areas such as: commercial insurance workers compensation, COVID Testing including airlines, airports, manufacturing plants, offices and more, clinical trials – we’re providing nurses to one of the nation’s largest vaccine trials, and access to national accounts and medical staffing including military and VA.

What kind of franchisees are you looking for?

BrightStar Care franchisee is most often someone who is a motivated people-person with management skills and a certain degree of marketing savvy. There is no medical or health care background required.

Over 70 per cent of our owners have no healthcare background. This business is about building relationships with your team and referral sources to deliver a higher standard customer experience.

BrightStar Care is seeking single unit developers throughout the United States.

For our recent franchisee in New Jersey, it made perfect sense for him to go into business. After all, his father and uncle had both owned businesses his whole life, and he had the necessary skills to run one. He became interested in the home care industry while living with his uncle, who had a neighbor who received in-home care. He would see the nurses and caretakers go in and out of his neighbor’s house all the time, and he witnessed first-hand how much his neighbor looked forward to his home care visits. That’s when he realized this would be the perfect business opportunity.

Our owner in South Carolina was a director of sales for a national LED light manufacturer and he was no stranger to the world of business. For 10 years, he worked in sales traveling around the world. He decided to start a BrightStar Care franchise after going through his own home health care experience with his mom.

What kind of support can BrightStar franchisees expect?

You will be invited to attend Discovery Day in Gurnee, Illinois. We want to ensure all due diligence has been completed and that you are set up for success. Here, you’ll meet our management team, learn about the systems and support we provide to help our franchisees, and meet several of the team members who will support you if you choose to become a franchisee.

BrightStar Care franchisees receive two weeks of initial training as well as ongoing franchise support. We also provide training for each franchisee’s director of nursing, sales director, and branch manager. Franchisees also have the support of a start coach, an ongoing field support coach, BrightStar’s corporate staff, and fellow franchisees. We also host national conferences every year to bring together franchisees and their staff to discuss new initiatives, and share best practices.

BrightStar Care also has state-of-the-art exclusive and proprietary technology system in place to help you manage every aspect of your business.
