Master Franchisees bring local tax and accounting experience and TaxAssist provides the award-winning brand, systems, training and support to allow you to develop a network of 50-60 accounting firms within your territory, using our proven model.
At TaxAssist Accountants, we only award master franchise rights to individuals or organisations that meet our specific criteria:
We are looking for:
Our business model is a straightforward one: franchisees take on small business and personal income tax paying clients with relatively uncomplicated work, whilst being based in shop front premises. The shop fronts create a customer-friendly experience, stripping away the intimidation of traditional accounting practices and are specifically designed to appeal to the small business market. Franchising provides you with the benefits of proven training, systems and support provided by the franchisor. You will also enjoy the benefits of being part of a well-established network of accountants who have a community spirit of sharing and supporting one another.
Terry Murphy, master franchisee for two territories in Australia said, “TaxAssist Accountants offers a distinctive brand and clear approach to business development, as well as a great level of support to both our franchisees and their clients. We see it as a win-win situation for all concerned.”

Run your own accounting practice and build a profitable business and valuable asset for your future. TaxAssist Accountants give you access to professional training and full support for you and your practice and access to a community of other accountants who have all walked the path into building an accounting practice in their area.
By servicing the needs of small businesses, subcontractors and the self-employed, as a franchisee you can focus on a group of clients, in a buoyant sector, who have traditionally been neglected.
Our aim is to strengthen our network with franchisees who follow our business development strategies in order to build a sizeable accounting practice. These strategies are based on best practice and powerful marketing techniques that can accelerate the growth of each franchisee’s business.
We celebrated our first successful calendar year in Australia with a special open day in Sydney. The event was hosted by franchisee Colin Lua in his Sydney shop – the newest addition to the network – and generated much interest among the local business community, as well as those interested in becoming part of this latest chapter in the TaxAssist success story. Since the launch of TaxAssist Accountants’ Australian network in March 2016, Terry and his team have recruited three franchisees, including opening two shops and the conversion of Terry’s existing four offices to TaxAssist Accountants.
Liverpool-based franchisee, Avendra Narayan: “I could not be happier with the way my business is growing. Following TaxAssist Accountants’ shopfront business model has worked superbly as having a highly visible business encourages walk-in clients. The shop concept, combined with the high referral rate from clients who have been impressed by the level of service they have received, means that my business continues to grow.”
Chatswood-based franchisee, Panbo Ye said: “Since joining in July 2016, my business has gone from strength to strength. The TaxAssist brand name, training and support have been excellent and combined with my ambition and drive have proved to be a winning a combination. I am really enjoying every element of running my own business combined with offering a first-class service to my clients.”
Sydney-based franchisee, Colin Lua added: “Small businesses need a flexible, convenient all year-round tax and accounting package, which I’m delighted to be able to offer here in the Sydney CBD”.
